Ever dreamed of designing your own eco village? Well, here's your chance to be an eco-visionary and maybe even win €2,500 in the process! The CLEAR Village Visualization Competition is calling all architects, designers, students and anyone else who can wield a pencil or an artboard to visualize what their ideal sustainable village would look like. Does your village have leaf-shaped solar panels on every rooftop? Shops where customers have to bring their own containers to fill up on goods? A human-powered monorail? Whatever your ideas are, here is your chance to make them a reality. That's right, the CLEAR Village is actually planning to build a real-life sustainable village, and your design could be a part of it!

The deadline to enter is Wednesday, September 23rd 2009 at midnight EST, so read on to find out how to enter!

So what are they searching for in a winning design? "We're looking for strong visual statements and images that convey a personal outlook of what a sustainable village should look like," says Thomas Ermacora, CLEAR Village's founder. Submissions can be in the form of drawings, photography, sculptures, sketches, or even poetry. The bottom line is that entries should clearly describe what the sustainable elements of the village are and how the village might function.

And what about the reward? The lucky grand prize winner will receive €2500, and two runners up will win €1250! All winners will have their entries included in CLEAR Village's publication "RECODE Urbanism – DNA for 21st Century Dwelling." Winners and shortlisted participants will also receive a logo that can be displayed in portfolios and websites.

Remember the deadline to enter is Wednesday, September 23rd 2009 at midnight EST, so ENTER HERE NOW!
