"Copper in the Home" design competition - CONCORSO I.I.R. 2007 - “IL RAME E LA CASA”

The aim of this competition by the Italian Copper Institute is to design a piece of home furniture that involves the widespread and correct use of copper or its alloys (brass, bronze, cupronickel, etc.).
The object designed must be for domestic use and may, for example, be one of the following: a chair, table, coffee table, mirror, coat stand, shelf, magazine holder, bookshelf, lamp, vase, wall-covering, partition or door, etc.
Other materials may be integrated or combined in the design, but the part in copper or its alloys must be the main component in the construction of the object as a whole.

Designer and architects¿ category: First Prize: 4,000 euros; Second Prize: 2,500 euros.
Students¿ category: First Prize: 1,500 euros.

The closing date for entries and delivery is 31st May 2007.
